End of Year Musings by Michi
As 2024 comes to a close, I find myself reflecting on a year that has truly been a rollercoaster ride. From trying out new events to discovering our “cornerstone” gatherings, each experience has shaped our journey. We’ve welcomed new artists into our community, adding new characters and mediums to our offerings. We’ve added our first employee – Sarah, who locally and online many of you have met.
One of the highlights this year has been the growth in our inventory variety. We've worked hard to expand our selection, ensuring that there’s something for everyone.
I’m excited to share some of the known events for next year. Be sure to keep an eye out for the “Where to Shop in 2025” blog post, which will highlight:
- The Hayfield Secondary Craft Fair in April, marking the first show of the year.
- Our participation in Occoquan in June and September.
- The Arlington County Fair in August, which promises to be a lively event.
- The Old Town Alexandria Holiday Market in December, a perfect way to wrap up the year.
- And more once we settle on which ones we want to attend!
As we transition into 2025, I am eager to bring back one-of-a-kind knit accessories and even learn a new craft myself.
On the social media front, we have exciting plans. We will continue to engage our community on Facebook, enhance our presence on Instagram with more stories and reels, and venture into TikTok and BlueSky to reach new audiences.
Finally, as we move into the new year, we’re focused on clearing the shelves with end-of-year specials and New Year deals. I can’t wait to see what 2025 has in store for us!
